Skills

Weaknesses:
Mortal Damage: Vera, like any human, can be wounded by physical attacks, magic, drowning, burning etc.
Voice: Her main weapon is her voice, therefore anything used to mask her voice (really loud noises or whatever) is a disadvantage to her.
Lack of strength: Vera relies of magic more than her physical strength, therefore if her magic powers are somehow disabled, she is helpless. 

Offensive Skills:
Voice: Vera sings to distract her enemies. Her voice can temporarily cause amnesia, which can last around ten minutes at most. However, if her voice is masked or if the enemy blocks his hearing (idk like really effective earplugs or something) then she's screwed.
Fire Magic: Vera can cast fire spells, shooting fireballs is the most she can do.
Wind Magic: She can create small whirlwinds to distract her enemies.
Sharp Talons: If she has to, she'll use her talons to do damage.

While her appearance (more like colors maybe) may appear intimidating, Vera's actually really friendly with people. Although she doesn't talk much, she likes it when people initiate a conversation with her. She's a great listener than a speaker, willing to sit down and hear what you have to say, though no one knows if she's really taking it all in or not. Vera also has a patience of a saint; it's very hard to anger her, but if someone does manage to push her buttons, she gives them the silent treatment and cold shoulder, her glare being the most terrifying. She holds grudges as well, though it'll only last for a few months before she forgets all about it. 

As a bookworm, Vera can often be found in the library reading. No matter how busy she is, she'll always make time for a visit to the library. She's also very curious and loves to try everything at once.

History

Vera was born alone. Her mother laid her eggs by the one of the beaches in Russia and rolled them off into the sea. When Ver a was born, a thunderstorm started, making the sea tough to sail on. She broke free from the waters and flew to the nearest piece of land, back to Russia. She stayed in the forests, hiding from the human population. Vera'd often steal books from the library in the small town and taught herself to read, but she made sure to return them after she finishes reading them, so that the people won't be suspicious. By the time she's done reading all of the books in the library, Vera left the small town in search for more books. And that's how her life went, town hopping to read more books. It's a miracle that the people didn't catch her that whole time.

Eventually, she left Russia in search for more books, curious and a little excited to learn another language. She stopped by China, India, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Italy, and eventually France, all to read. Vera became fluent in many languages, though her favourite is still French. 

Vera was flying across one of the oceans one day when she spotted a rather peculiar ship. Curious as she is, she flew down to investigate. Turns out it was a ship to a certain island where monsters like her and humans live alongside each other. When she heard about the university, she enrolled almost immediately.

Trivia:
She likes to take midnight walks in the forests.

Her voice is the type that will make your grocery list sound like Shakespear when she reads it. (too bad she doesn't talk much)
She's also a great singer, but she doesn't sing in fear of using her powers by accident. The most she'll do is hum a tune and that's it.
